The human voice is one of our most powerful tools of communication — yet it is also delicate and easily affected by stress, misuse, aging, or structural abnormalities. At Yoskarn Clinic in Bangkok, under the leadership of Dr. Somyot Kunjak and his team with over 40 years of clinical experience, we specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of voice disorders through advanced technology and individualized care.

Types of Voice Disorders

Puberphonia / Mutational Falsetto / Voice Break

Puberphonia, or mutational falsetto, occurs when the voice fails to lower to a normal adult pitch after puberty. This often affects young men and may result from muscle tension or psychological factors.
At Yoskarn Clinic, our specialists provide both voice therapy and laryngeal function assessment to restore a natural, confident tone.

Hoarseness & Voice Fatigue

Frequent hoarseness or voice fatigue may indicate inflammation, vocal nodules, or misuse of the voice. Early diagnosis using stroboscopy and acoustic analysis helps identify subtle changes in vocal fold vibration before they worsen.
Our clinic offers minimally invasive microsurgery and rehabilitation programs designed for speakers, teachers, and performers.

Aging Voice / Presbyphonia

As we age, the vocal folds lose elasticity and muscle tone, leading to a weaker or breathy voice. Known as presbyphonia, this condition can be effectively improved through voice strengthening therapy and, when needed, vocal fold augmentation using advanced injection techniques at Yoskarn Clinic.

Other Functional Voice Disorders

Functional disorders, such as muscle tension dysphonia or psychogenic voice loss, often result from stress or misuse without structural damage. Our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive voice therapy combining medical treatment, counseling, and vocal retraining to restore balance and coordination in voice production.

Why Choose Yoskarn Clinic
